It was George Sandman that led the field to the green flag, but Taylor Jordan took the lead in turn one and didn’t seem to leave much doubt on where he wanted to be. Sandman followed, stayed close initially, until an incident with a back marker that was a lot slower than he expected ended his pursuit and he called it a race.
Aaron Blackburn took over in the chase with Bill Smithem following him after Breuning had gone off on lap 5. Breuning later had another issue, touching the #16 because of going in too deep in turn 5. He had to claw his way back from 8th, managed to pass several cars, including Phil Peterson on the last lap – who in is own right was having a good day.
So Jordan, Blackburn and Smithem were on the podium, Breuning and Peterson rounded out the top 5 finishers.

Taylor Jordan led the field to the green with Breuning alongside and Warren and Smithem in hot pursuit. An early yellow tempted most drivers to pit and Breuning took the lead, but it didn’t take Jordan to come back after the slower pitstop. The same thing happened under the 2nd yellow. The fight for the lead was close, with Jordan, Breuning and Warren, also joined by Rodrigues who recovered from being a lap down early on!
On the final lap, with Jordan leading, Breuning and Rodrigues unfortunately touched, sending both to the back of the field and limping home. Jordan took the win followed by Warren, Smithem, Wilson and Forrester.

Jordan led the field to the green flag with George Sandman behind him and once the racing started, that’s how it remained. Although Sandman did get fairly close to the leader, he wasn’t in a position to take over. Behind them, losing about a second per lap, it was Breuning and Smithem – also without much fight between them. It was Larry Eaglen that rounded out the top 5 on the street course of Belle Isle, which always takes a few victims and this race was no different.

It was Bill Smithem that led the field to the green flag, but Taylor Jordan soon made it past him. Breuning – coming from 5th on the grid got up to 2nd quickly and started giving Jordan a little work. Unfortunately, on lap 39, the racing got a little too close and they touched going into turn 3, with Breuning violently slamming into the wall. His fast repair saved his day but put him 2 laps down.
Bill Colley and Bill Smithem took over the challenge but never got close enough, despite a late yellow bunching them back up to the leader. Jordan won, followed by Colley, Ian Wilson, Smithem and Chris Brown rounding out the top 5.

Taylor Jordan led the field to the green flag having qualified fastest at the brickyard. The first (and only) yellow came on lap 3, when Breuning and Wilson touched lightly going into turn 3. Breuning spun and hit the wall and needed a tow with fast repairs to continue. He did so, one lap down and in 15th spot.
The racing was intense as always until the green flag pitstops started stretching the field. Those who did find a draft partner saved fuel. Taylor Jordan had the race in hand and took the win, followed by Don Warren and Bill Smithem. Bill Colley scored a strong 4th and Dewane Kinner rounded out the top 5.
