Rick Ravon started from the pole and led the entire race. Although Breuning kept it within 1.5 seconds for a good bit, he ultimately lost ground with a few mistakes. Patrick Day had a tough day at Laguna, allowing Fozzi Fozillo to grab third, ahead of Bill Smithem and Phil Peterson. Day had to settle for 6th.
Season 8 ended well for Breuning, who takes the season win ahead of Bill Smithem and Patrick Day. Rick Ravon made 4th with a part time schedule.
