RAVON WINS LAGUNA SECA

Rick Ravon started from the pole and led flag to flag at Laguna Seca in the season finale with the Championship already wrapped up. Breuning dropped to 6th on the 2nd lap when hitting a curb in turn 2, but worked his way back to 2nd. Wade Tschida ran strong but was set back by a speeding penalty on pit road, handing 3rd to the ever consistent Bill Smithem.

Season 6 will start in 2 weeks, hope to see you all back again.

RAVON CRUISES TO SEASON 5 CHAMPIONSHIP

With one race after today’s Watkins Glen outing, Rick Ravon has been crowned the Season 5 champion. Closest Rival Breuning had to win the race to maintain any sort of chance but he lost it on lap 5 and unfortunately took Johnny Hamby out with him. That opened the doors for Chris Hamelink – returning to the series – to grab 2nd and Charles Harris to claim 3rd

RAVON ON TOP

Rick Ravon started from the pole and led flag to flag at New Hampshire, the season’s final oval race. David Tamira started on the front row with him but fell victim to an incident later in the race, leaving the door open for Bill Smithem and Charles Harris, while Breuning couldn’t find his way around Chris Brown.

Tire wear was a major factor at the end of the race, when Harris couldn’t keep the speed up and had to let Breuning take 2nd and Smithem take 3rd. He finished in 4th, having burned up his front tires. The Season 5 title fight is still open; Breuning could theoretically still catch Ravon but the way things have been going it looks like a tall order and Ravon is expected to wrap it up next week at the Glen.

HAMBY STATCHED POLE, RAVON WINS.

Polesitter Johnny Hamby took the lead from the green flag, but held on only so long. Ravon chased him around the slippery and hot Mid Ohio track, took the lead and never looked back. Hamby was more interested in a good finish than a win at any cost and brought it home in 2nd, ahead of Breuning, Potgieter and Kielblock.

RAVON WINS EVENTFUL POCONO RACE!

Pole sitter Rick Ravon drive to victory lane, but not with others trying very hard to keep him out of it. Breuning raced him hard for the lead after the first yellow, but spun out. Luckily didn’t hit anything, resumed the battle for the lead once the caution cleared. A misinterpretation of a backmarker led to Breuning touching him, ending his race and that of Brown.

Robert Love took over the battle and passed Ravon 5 laps before the end, only to lose it in turn 4 and ending his endeavor as well. Ravon sailed to victory, joined by Darryl Wineinger and Tommy Cook on the podium.
