PATRICK DAY WINS POCONO BY A NOSE LENGTH!

Pole sitter Patrick Day had a bit of an odd start to the race, trying to top off on the early (and only) yellow. At the front, drivers remained disciplined, and the battle really started after the pitstops; Breuning lost his 2 plus second lead due to the pursuers working together very well. Once Day got alongside, Breuning washed up just a little and when they touched, he saved it but dropped to 4th, Too far back to catch back up.

At the front, the battle heated up, it was Day grabbing the win by 0.006 from Bill Smithem and third was Bill Colley. Breuning was 4th, 5th was Robert Love.

PATRICK DAY GRABS ROAD AMERICA!!!

Although initially pole sitter Rick Ravon ran away with the race, on lap 22 the #1 car gave up with a puff of smoke out the back end. Ravon had blown his engine and everyone was puzzled how that happened. The last few laps Day and Breuning tossed it up for the race win, but it was Day that came out on top with Breuning just not having the edge to make anything happen in that final lap. Bill Smithem rounded out the podium once again, followed by Ian Wilson and Larry Eaglen.

BREUNING BY 0.001

The League’s first race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway proved to be one of the closest conmtested events so far. It was Rick Ravon that snatched the pole with the top 10 within 3/10 of a second. From the start, the top drivers Passmore, Ravon and Fozillo charged, until 3 wide proved topo much and they tangled.

After that it was a battle between Brown, Breuning, Peterson and Smithem for the top spots. Not shaken by issues further back it was ultimately Breuning that took the outside line and beat Brown to the checkered by 0.001. Peterson was 3rd, Smithem 4th and Stuart Wright brought it home in 5th, leading the 2nd pack.

BREUNING WINS ANOTHER ONE BUT ONLY BARELY!

Starting from the pole, Breuning led all the way at Belle Isle, where many struggle on the slippery surface. Patrick Day, starting on P2 was an early victim on still cold tires, but he fought his way back to the podium in 3rd. Bill Smithem ran 2nd, and he closed in steadily on Breuning at the end coming from over 5 seconds down to challenge the leader with the checkered in sight: Breuning held on by 0.099 seconds to take victory. Race shouldn’t have been a lap longer..

BREUNING WINS THE MILWAUKEE MILE!

It was Rod Potgieter that placed his #77 machine on pole position and took the lead at the start: It proved to be difficult to pass, about half a second was between the P1, P2 and P3 drivers. Potgieter pitted earlier than the others, giving Breuning the lead with clean air and less weight. When he pitted, he was well out in front, with Day having lost some time on pit entry behind another car. Tow late yellows bunched up the field, but the aero-push proved to make passing too difficult for Day to take away Breuning’s lead.

Notably, Chris Brown ran the fastest lap
